Andijan hosts two special lectures for imams: on recent President’s Decree and on HIV/AIDS.
Andijan Region Representation Office of Muslim Board of Uzbekistan hosted the event on recent President’s Decree “On measures of rational improvement of religious-enlightenment sphere”. It was clearly delivered to all imams of the region about the importance of this initiative which has been waited for a long time. It was noted that according to the document the salary of teachers working at the certain religious educational establishments would receive salary which is to increase triple times from July 1st, 2018. During the discussion session participants were given satisfactory answers for the questions.
The same day, on May 1st, another event on HIV/AIDS struggle as part of the implementation of President’s decree dated from January 25, 2018 “On further improvement of struggle against AIDS dissemination and enhancement of prevention measures” was organized.
K.Mamatov, Head of Department of Andijan Region HIV/AIDS Center and M.Alimov, HIV/AIDS specialist took part in the seminar.
During the seminar imams of Andijan region received profound explanation about this alarming disease and were advised on raising public awareness on prevention methods.
Both events justified imams’ expectations as they were meaningful and practical.

Khalid Al-Fadhli: Scientific and spiritual heritage of Uzbekistan is a priceless legacy of the entire Islamic World

- I extend my heartfelt congratulations to the friendly people of Uzbekistan on the 35th Anniversary of Independence. I wish all my Uzbek brothers great achievements, prosperity, peace, tranquillity and further success.
We are historically bound to Uzbekistan by strong ties of friendship, mutual respect, and sincere good-neighbourliness. Many outstanding and widely known Islamic scholars were born and raised on this blessed land. This invaluable scientific and spiritual heritage is an enormous asset not only for Uzbekistan but for the entire Islamic world.
We are pleased that close and effective cooperative ties have been established between Kuwait University and leading higher educational institutions of Uzbekistan. For many years, Uzbek students have been coming to our country, specifically to Kuwait University, to improve their knowledge of the Arabic language and to familiarize themselves with our culture. Over the course of one academic year, they not only thoroughly study the Arabic language but also receive an opportunity to become closely acquainted with the culture, history and society of Kuwait.
During my interactions with Uzbek students, I have particularly noted their profound interest in education and science, as well as their dedication to knowledge. It is especially pleasing that they strive not only to learn the Arabic language but also to deeply understand the culture, art, economy and development trends of another country.
Deep historical, scientific and spiritual ties have been formed between the Arabic and Uzbek peoples over the centuries. I would like these friendly and fraternal relations to be further strengthened and enriched with new content in the future. In this regard, hosting international conferences, developing joint scientific research and expanding the exchange of faculty and students are of great importance.
It is necessary to support the initiatives and proposals put forward by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Kuwait, and to pay even greater attention to their practical implementation. We are also interested in identifying new opportunities and implementing promising initiatives aimed at further developing cooperation between the two countries in the fields of education, science, culture and humanitarian interaction.
Once again, I cordially congratulate the people of Uzbekistan on the 35th Anniversary of Independence. May the Almighty grant Uzbekistan peace, tranquillity, welfare, prosperity and great success.
