A B2B meeting bringing together representatives of Uzbekistan’s tourism sector and travel businesses from Karachi was held in Tashkent to strengthen direct contacts and develop new tourism products, reports Dunyo IA correspondent.

The event was organized as part of a FAM Trip by Centrum Air following the launch of direct flights between Tashkent and Karachi. From September 10–12, a delegation of 10 Pakistani tourism representatives visited Uzbekistan and explored the historical and cultural attractions and tourism infrastructure of Tashkent and Samarkand.

During the meeting, participants discussed Uzbekistan’s tourism potential, joint tour packages and new routes, with particular attention to cultural and historical tourism, Silk Road routes, gastronomy, ecotourism and pilgrimage tourism.

The launch of direct air connectivity between Karachi and Tashkent was highlighted as creating new opportunities for tourism, including routes linking Karachi, Tashkent and Samarkand, with the potential to expand to other destinations in Uzbekistan.
