International festival on Qur’an reading will be in Uzbekistan

The draft of the state program on action plans was elaborated for “2018 – the year of Support of active entrepreneurship, innovative ideas and technology” within the framework of Action Strategies on the five directions for the development of Uzbekistan in 2017-2021.

According to President’s degree dated November 28, 2017 public discussion is going to be taken into account until January 15, 2018.

The fifth direction of Action strategy of the State Program Draft is “Provision of security, international harmony and religious tolerance with priorities on deeply-well-thought, mutual and practical foreign policy.” There are a number of articles related to religious sphere. Here is the one related to organizing international Qur’an festival:

Article 219. Organition of the 1st International Festival on Qur’an reading. The deadline is July 10, 2018 and will be in Bukhara region.

Organizational acitivies:

- promotion of pure essence of Islam in the world community;

- rewarding Qur’an reciter in various nominations;

- support of society and youth in enlightenment;

- promotion of rich historical, religious and cultural heritage to tourists.

Indonesian media: First International Forum of Islamic Civilization in Uzbekistan emerges as an important international platform for cooperation

Indonesian media have widely covered the First International Forum of Islamic Civilization, held in Tashkent, Samarkand and Termez, placing particular emphasis on its outcomes and international significance, reports Dunyo IA.

Reports on the forum were broadcast by Garuda TV and published by Indonesiainside, Kabarsurya, Apaberita, Retizen (Republika) and the newspaper Kalimantan Post. The publications note that the forum, held under the theme "Islamic Civilization: The Path to Peace, Tolerance and Enlightenment", brought together scholars, religious leaders, experts and representatives of international organizations from dozens of countries.

Indonesian media gave particular attention to the adoption of the Tashkent Declaration and the decision to establish the Global Forum of Islamic Civilization, with its headquarters in Uzbekistan. The reports also highlighted key initiatives announced during the forum, including the digitalization of Islamic heritage, the creation of an international digital library and a unified global digital registry, as well as the expansion of international academic and scientific cooperation.

The publications underscore Uzbekistan's historic contribution to the development of Islamic civilization and world science, while highlighting the significance of Samarkand, Bukhara and Termez as major centers of Islamic culture and scholarship.

According to Indonesian media, the forum has become an important international platform for strengthening scientific and cultural cooperation, promoting the ideals of peace and mutual respect, and preserving the rich heritage of Islamic civilization.
