“Orta Lectura”: Uzbekistan Strengthens Its Position as a Safe and Attractive Tourist Destination

The Spanish analytical and news portal “Orta Lectura” has published an article titled “Uzbekistan Strengthens Its Position as a Safe Tourist Destination,” reports Dunyo IA.

The publication notes that in recent years Uzbekistan has gained recognition in leading global rankings and foreign government recommendations as a country with a high level of domestic security.

According to the World Justice Project – Rule of Law Index 2025, Uzbekistan ranked 17th out of 143 countries in the “Order and Security” category, leading among 15 countries in Eastern Europe and Central Asia. The “Gallup Global Safety Report” also found that 86% of Uzbekistan’s population feel safe walking alone at night, well above the global average.

The article highlights Uzbekistan’s progress in the Global Peace Index 2026, where the country rose 30 places to 37th among 163 countries. It also cites the U.S. Department of State’s Level 1 travel advisory, the lowest risk level, as well as Uzbekistan’s strong position in the Numbeo index.
