The Charter Of Makkah, endorsed by the muftis and scholars of the Islamic Ummah from various schools of thought and sects, as well as by the member states of the OIC, is considered the second charter of its kind in Islamic history after the Charter of Medina, signed by our Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him).
As a pivotal charter in a pressing contemporary context, it reflects the high aspirations of Islamic scholarship in confronting numerous challenges and shortcomings, and in addressing narrow-mindedness, backwardness, and extremism that have emerged in various contexts.
The Charter also embodies the compassion and mercy of Islam for the world. It supports the causes of coexistence and positive integration, and affirms the harmonious reconciliation—within the true message of Islam—of religious and national identities, particularly in diverse societies and in countries with Muslim minorities.
Within the framework of the “Malaysia International Halal Showcase” (MIHAS) international halal product exhibition, the national pavilion of Uzbekistan has been organized, reports Dunyo IA.
This year, within the framework of MIHAS, more than 1,700 manufacturers, trade, and service companies from around 80 countries of the world are presenting their products and services, having placed over 2,400 exhibition booths and covering 14 industry sectors.
Seven enterprises of the food industry and export-oriented companies of Uzbekistan are demonstrating their products at the exhibition. In particular, more than 100 varieties of certified halal food products, as well as samples of national decorative and applied arts from such brands as “Ermak”, “Ermak Plus”, “Crafers”, “NMedov” and “Delice”, which are actively expanding not only in the domestic but also in international markets, are being presented.
High-quality dried fruits, snacks, fruit leathers, selected confectionery, and chocolate products presented by leading Uzbek brands generated significant interest among local and foreign visitors of the exhibition and received positive reviews.
Four-day event is of great significance for Uzbek enterprises. The exhibition provides domestic companies with an opportunity to conduct direct business negotiations with representatives of retail chains, wholesale trading companies, and importers from Malaysia and other foreign countries. In turn, this creates broad opportunities for Uzbek products to enter not only the Malaysian market but also the markets of Southeast Asian nations.
According to the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (MATRADE), the event was attended by more than 50,000 guests and buyers from Malaysia and 58 countries worldwide. Within the framework of the exhibition, trade agreements totalling 1.5 billion dollars were concluded.
MIHAS (Malaysia International Halal Showcase) is one of the largest annual international halal exhibitions held in Malaysia. The exhibition serves as an important platform uniting key participants in the global halal industry.
